As an Account Executive, you will: Contribute directly to our display advertising sales revenues Work closely with the Sales Manager and regional sales team Sell digital and content advertising solutions across our portfolio of market-leading scientific publications Maintain strong Salesforce CRM discipline Actively participate in team learning, development, and knowledge sharing
Responsibilities: Identify, articulate, and present the value of Springer Nature's advertising solutions to prospective and existing clients Prospect to build a pipeline and generate new business, including outbound calls, emails, social outreach, and event engagement Consult with clients to understand their needs and recommend value-driven solutions Negotiate, refine, and close advertising programs Seek out and communicate market and competitive insights Work with internal departments to ensure the successful delivery of services to our customers Maintain a clean, accurate, and up-to-date Salesforce CRM database, leveraging it for forecasting, reporting, and strategy Participate in conferences and trade shows Other duties as assigned
Experience, Skills & Qualifications: Essential 2+ years' sales or sales support experience with a focus on business development over account management Entrepreneurial, proactive, and results-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership Comfortable with outbound outreach and confident initiating conversations by phone, email, and in-person Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to quickly develop rapport across multiple channels Clear-thinking, data-driven approach with the ability to synthesize complex issues into simple messages Strong proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook), with a commitment to CRM discipline Ability to travel (approximately 10%)
Desirable Experience with lead generation and high-volume business development Solutions-based sales experience, with an emphasis on articulating value rather than competing on price Presentation experience to individuals and/or groups in person or via video conferencing Working knowledge of ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar prospecting tools

US Annualized Base Salary Range: $66,300 - $75,000. This role is eligible for a quarterly sales bonus plan. The salary offer may vary based on work experience, education, skill level, and equity. The US salary range does not align with the salary ranges in other countries when converted to the currency of that country.
